3,064 final year law students to get new mark sheets from Mumbai University after rectification of PRN error

The University of Bombay will give fresh mark sheets to 3,064 final year law students after their Permanent Registration Number (PRN) was found to be wrong, an official said on Tuesday.

The official said the contents of the mark sheets of the final year students are correct except for the 16-digit PRN, a unique reference number throughout the course.

“The error will be rectified soon and students will be issued a new mark sheet,” the official said, adding that the PRN error was detected in 3,064 mark sheets.

The issue arose after several students faced problems while applying for higher education. The details of the students who were applying for Masters in University of Mumbai were not verified. A University of Bombay official accepted the error and said the last digit was printed as zero.
