This academic year, the CSAS portal will form a core part of admissions to DU-affiliated universities. The process will take place in three phases which will include enrolment, course selection, allotment of seats and confirmation of admission after document verification.

Meanwhile, the CUET has been generating controversy. After a long delay due to various technical glitches, some professors of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have expressed their concern over the conduct of CUET and its negative effect on the quality of students. “

“The existence of the CUET has ensured that no decision can be taken anymore on university admissions, thus effectively undoing Parliament,” JNUTA said, adding that “with semesters out of sync, students from two semesters that cross cannot opt for the full range of courses offered at the university at that time! For programs whose curriculum or curriculum is crucially dependent on the cross-listing of courses, this has disastrous result,” JNUTA added.
