DU admissions 2022: Delhi University has today issued a notification that candidates who have not submitted their category certificate, their seat allotment has been rejected in Round 1 of Common Seat Allotment System.
These aspirants will now be considered in the unreserved category in the second round of CSAS.
The notification says, “All such candidates will be considered in the Unreserved Category in CSAS Round 2, subject to the availability of seats in the Unreserved Category and other allotment policies indicated in the Delhi University CSAS document, subject to fulfill the merit of the UR category and order of preference presented by the candidate”.
The university, in its notice, said it was reminding students to submit the category certificate several times through webinars, newsletters, notifications, etc.
Delhi University released its first merit list on October 19 and for around 70,000 seats, the university made an offer to 80,164 candidates out of which 60,863 have accepted the offers.
The documentation required for the admission process included attested class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate for those belonging to a category. And, the rest of the data was transferred from the CUET portal.
The university is likely to start the academic session in the first week of November. The first semester will be from November to March and the second semester will start from March and end in July. There will be an interval of two days between semesters.
