GATE 2023 Registration: Application, Eligibility, Exam Date, Number of Papers, IIT Completion

GATE 2023 Registration: Post Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted by Indian Institute of Kanpur (IIT-Kanpur) on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February 2023. Online application link will be active on 30 of August Last date to fill online applications is 30th September but applicants will get an extension along with late fees to apply till 7th October.

GATE Admit Cards will be available from 3rd January 2023 onwards. Applicants will be able to fill out applications at IIT-Kanpur has added 23 new cities or towns to ensure that students do not have to travel too far.

GATE 2023- Eligibility Criteria

Any applicant who is currently studying third or higher in a degree program can apply for GATE 2023. Or, the applicant has completed any government-approved degree program in domains such as engineering, technology, architecture , science, commerce or arts. that appear in the exam.

GATE 2023 will be conducted for 29 papers. An applicant can choose a role or up to two roles, however, are allowed to select the second role from the defined two-role combination list.

GATE 2023- Paper Pattern

The paper would be worth 100 points, in case an applicant appears for two papers, each would be worth 100 points. The work will have a General Aptitude (GA) of 15 points, it will be common to all works. In addition, 85 points will be assigned to the rest of the work that covers the corresponding syllabus.

The exam will take 3 hours. There will be three types of questions: multiple choice questions, multiple choice questions and numerical answer type. There will be a total of 65 questions (10 GA + 55 subjects).

There will be negative marking for wrong answers in MCQs and no negative marking for wrong answers in MSQ or NAT.

GATE 2023- Cities

There are a total of 8 zones for the convenience of applicants. The zones will assist applicants across the country on various queries and other matters. The zones are IISc Bangalore (37 cities), IIT Mumbai (38 cities), IIT Delhi (18 cities), IIT Guwahati (22 cities), IIT Kanpur (15 cities), IIT Kharagpur (27 cities), IIT Madras (42 cities ). ), IIT Roorkee (20 cities).

An applicant can choose up to three cities, but they should be from the same area.

GATE also has 8 international centers in Bangladesh, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Singapore and Bhutan. Applicant can check the list of cities at:-

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

It is a national level examination that tests comprehensive knowledge of undergraduate subjects in the fields of engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce and the arts. The exam is conducted by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore on a rotating basis.
