Government working to improve infrastructure for engineering studies: PM Modi on Engineer’s Day

Engineer’s Day 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on Engineer’s Day on Thursday and said that India is fortunate to have a pool of skilled and talented engineers who contribute to nation building. Engineer’s Day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of statesman engineer M Visvesvaraya, a diwan of the erstwhile kingdom of Mysore, who is credited with pioneering engineering works.

Modi tweeted: “Greetings to all engineers on Engineers Day. Our nation is blessed to have a pool of skilled and talented engineers who contribute to nation building. Our government is working to improve infrastructure to study engineering, including building more engineering schools.” “On Engineers Day, we remember the innovative contribution of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. May it continue to inspire generations of future engineers to distinguish themselves,” he added.

Modi also released an excerpt from one of his Mann Ki Baat broadcasts where he spoke on the issue.
