ISB, IIM-B only two Indian institutes in FT EMBA 2022 ranking

The Financial Times recently released the EMBA Ranking 2022 in which the Indian School of Business has emerged as the top Indian school and won the 44th place in the global ranking. After ISB, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) is the second Indian institute in the list with an overall rank of 86.

The average salary of IIM-B is currently (in USD) 222,615 and the institute has seen an increase of 67%, while the average salary of ISB is 315,550 with an increase of 66%. The Indian School of Business (ISB) has improved its position this year, as the institute was ranked 68th globally in 2021 (although it has retained its number 1 position in India).

ISB was the only Indian business school on the list in 2021, and IIM-B, this year, has joined the institute in the global ranking. This year, too, no Indian business school has managed to crack the top 20 spots.

Globally, Kellogg/HKUST Business School has won the first position, which has improved its ranking by 1 position. The Hong Kong-based school is followed by Ceibs (from China/Switzerland/Ghana) in second place and Tsinghua University/Insead (from China/Singapore/France/UAE) in third. HEC Paris and ESCP Business School took fourth and fifth place in the global ranking.

In the NIRF 2022 ranking (business school category), Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) retained the top spot, followed by IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Calcutta. The top three positions have remained the same since 2020. However, IIT Delhi and IIM Kozhikode were ranked fourth and fifth this year, a swap of positions from last year.
