JoSAA 2022 Counselling: Registration will close on 21 September, special rounds to fill vacancies will start on 24 October

JoSAA 2022 advice: The Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA) has today released the second round of Mock Seat Allotment 2022. Candidates can check their seat allotment on the official website of JoSAA: josaa.nic.in. Meanwhile, online registration for JoSAA will close on September 21.

This year, National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) is conducting online registration for centralized seat allotment process for the academic year 2022-23 for admission to various degree programs in NITs, IIEST , IIITs, SPAs (School of Planning and Architecture) and a few GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).

All of these are collectively referred to as the “NIT+ System”.

“Understanding the seat allotment process is vital for candidates as mistakes can lead to loss of an assured seat in top NIRF ranked government technical institutes. If one gets the college of their dreams and relaxes, ignoring online document verification or fee payment process may result in failure of your candidature.Tomorrow is the last day of online registration, and our team at CSAB-2022 Headquarters (located at NIT Rourkela) is trying its best to get the instructions and advice across to the aspirants who are not aware of it,” said Prof. Mukesh Gupta (Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, CSAB-2022).

Important things to consider

– Do not share your login credentials with anyone.
– Complete the seat selection in your order of preference.
– Keep pdf version (size: 10-500kb) of all your certificates ready to upload after seat allotment.
– In case of OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates, the valid certificate must have been issued on or after April 1, 2022; invalid certificates will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
– Do not forget to complete the online document verification, fee payment and the option to give will.
– Familiarize yourself with the trading rules available on the JoSAA/CSAB website and track the seat allotment schedule and seat allotment status after each round.
– Know the meaning of various will options (Freeze/Float/Slide) before opting for one. Whenever a seat is allotted, choose one of the options, or you will be out of the counseling process in the subsequent rounds.
– If you do not pay the fee on time, your seat will be canceled and assigned to another candidate.
