The Maharashtra State Board made the announcement on Monday. The circular issued by the state board says: “This provisional schedule or examination dates are declared to help schools and university centers prepare their academic activities accordingly not only to complete the curriculum but also to help students prepare for the board exam.” The timetable which will be available on the official website of the Maharashtra State Board, as informed by the officials, is only for the information of schools, colleges and students for their preparation; and the printed schedule distributed to the schools will be the final one.
The previous board exam has been a topic of discussion in Maharashtra as the state board resumed the conventional offline exam pattern, after a gap of one year. A year earlier, the board exams were canceled due to challenges followed by the pandemic-induced school closure. There was a huge demand from students to cancel the board exams again; however, the Maharashtra State Board had taken a firm stand to continue the offline exams. Both these exams were conducted smoothly by the Maharashtra State Board between March and April 2022.
