NEET UG 2022 Counselling: MCC adds around 200 MBBS seats

NEET UG 2022 Counselling: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) added nearly 200 seats in the first round of the seat allotment process as colleges could not contribute them before the start of the first round of counseling UG 2022. A total of 197 seats have been added in government medical colleges across the country.

“The Medical Advisory Committee has received information from the following institutes (list attached) regarding new seats which the colleges could not contribute before the commencement of Round 1 of UG Counseling 2022 as LoPs were received of NMC on 17.10.2022 Competent authority has therefore decided to include the following MBBS seats in the UG 2022 counseling round 1 seat matrix for the best interest of the candidates,” it states in the official notice of the MCC.

According to the official list, 15 seats (each) have been in Government Medical College of Doda, Osmanabad, Porbandar, Morbi, Baramulla, Navsari, Anantnag, Kathua and Kannauj. In addition, 17 seats have been added to Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) Government Medical College, 18 to Dr. Government Medical College. YS Parmar from Nahan (Himachal Pradesh) and 27 at Government Medical College, Srinagar.

Now, the candidates will have time till 18th October to exercise the choice of the added seats for the first round of UG.
