Fact-checking by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) today debunked a website claiming to be the official website National PM Laptop Scheme. According to the PIB team, the government has not launched any scheme for the students.
The website – pmssgovt.online states that the scheme is applicable to all Indian students studying from class 9 to graduation. The website charges Rs 450 as enrollment fee for students to participate in the said program.
