Auckland’s Waipapa Taumata Rau University is launching a wide range of scholarships for Indian students totaling almost NZ$1.5 million. Indian students who wish to apply for any of the scholarships can submit their application through the official website of the university: auckland.ac.nz.
The University of Auckland has announced that more than 200 scholarships are now available for high-achieving Indian students in 2023. These scholarships will be awarded every two years, with 115 available twice a year. Each cycle will offer five scholarships up to $20,000, 10 up to $10,000 and 100 up to $5,000.
These scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and interested candidates can apply from 10 October to 21 November, and thereafter from 9 March 2023 to 20 April of 2023. Scholarship applications will normally open about six weeks before the closing date. .
To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must have a passport issued by the Government of India, must be a resident of India at the time of applying for this scholarship, be a new student who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission, or an English Academy (ELA) student who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission and is enrolled or
be enrolled full-time in a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) or master’s degree of 120 points or more, excluding master’s degrees by thesis, or an undergraduate degree (applicant with secondary or post-secondary qualifications abroad) at the University of Auckland.
In addition, students who have already started their studies at the University of Auckland or students who have completed tertiary level studies in New Zealand, or students who are enrolling in a Master of Business program at the Graduate School of Management (GSM), excluding the Master in Business. Analytics and Master in Supply Chain Management are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The basis of selection will be academic merit, the quality of the application letter and the endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The selection committee may also consider how the intended program of study aligns with the University’s strategic goals.
The main objective of these scholarships is to attract new high-caliber international students from India to enroll full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate studies of one year or more at Auckland’s Waipapa Taumata Rau University.
