UP CM launches ‘Mission Niramaya’ to improve paramedical training

Terming nursing and paramedical staff as the backbone of the medical and healthcare system, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said drastic changes are needed in nursing and paramedical training keeping in mind the future requirements.

In view of this, instructions have been given to initiate the ‘Mission Niramaya’ for the comprehensive improvement of the training of nurses and paramedics, according to an official statement issued on Friday.

The Chief Minister emphasized on increasing the quality of education in nursing and paramedical schools. During the training, he also stressed the need for better training in nursing and paramedic institutions, according to the release.

Planned efforts should also be made for this, the policy should be decided in consultation with reputed private sector hospitals, Adityanath said.

He said that practical knowledge is very necessary for young people who are training in nursing. More and more young people need to be made aware of better career prospects in the nursing and paramedic sector, the Prime Minister added.
